Accessories are subject to a $30 shipping fee or can be picked up in store for free. Floor models can only be delivered locally. Some floor models may have a delivery fee (non sofa bed items).

Please note that when delivery is to an address that is different from the billing address, we will require ID verification prior to and at delivery.

Most delivery areas within Ontario and Quebec offer 2 shipping options.

 

Ontario / Quebec Shipping

Ottawa and Toronto - Free

We are happy to offer complimentary white glove delivery and assembly in the Toronto and Ottawa areas (including the National Capital Region of Quebec) for all sofa beds . We have partnered with local assembly companies who know our products well. They will contact you to set up a delivery date and time window.

White glove includes delivery to the room of your choice, full assembly and removal of boxes and packaging.

Delivery within Ottawa is usually done within a week of placing an order for in stock sofa beds. Delivery within Toronto is usually two to three weeks.

Outside Ottawa and Toronto

Standard Freight Delivery is free to all areas of Ontario and Quebec. 

Delivery is curbside. This service includes delivery of your items to your home but not indoors. Your sofa bed is delivered flat packed on a pallet. You will be responsible for getting the boxes inside and assembling your new sofa bed. Everything you need is provided and we are always here to help answer questions.

We will provide you with the shipping company details and your tracking information once it becomes available. The delivery company will schedule a timeframe with you when the shipment arrives at your local delivery terminal.  Most freight companies only deliver on weekdays and during standard 9-5 business hours. 

White Glove Delivery is offered wherever it is possible and at the lowest rates we can. The fee we charge is not our full cost, it is simply the cost above what we can cover. The fee outside of Ottawa and Toronto varies by location from $50-$250. The option for your area will show at checkout (before you pay). If your delivery area does not show White Glove as a delivery option but you would like this service - please contact us. We will do our best to find a solution.

 

Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and Saskatchewan. 

Standard Freight Delivery is available outside of Ontario and Quebec. The fee is $300.

If delivery cannot be accepted within the timelines provided by the freight carrier, they will charge storage fees (usually about $40 day but this can vary). These fees will be passed to you. In order to avoid storage fees by the freight carrier, please communicate any difficulties in accepting delivery within certain dates BEFORE it ships. We can hold your delivery in our warehouse and will do our best to ship it to suit your schedule. However this needs to be communicated in advance. Once it ships, we have no control over freight delivery and timelines and we will not be responsible for storage fees.  

 

Shipping Times

Freight Shipments: Orders ship out from our warehouse in 3-4 business days. Transit time is 2-3 weeks depending on your location. 

White Glove Deliveries: Most white glove deliveries can be done within 2 weeks. Some areas that are further out may require a bit more time, especially for some of our heavier sofa beds (Nest) which requires 2 assemblers to carry if stairs are involved.

Assembly Required

Your Sofa Bed will arrive flat packed, wrapped and boxed as a set of 1-7 boxes (depending on the model). This makes it much easier to get your sofa up stairs, into elevators and around tight corners. Assembly is straightforward, everything you need is included. You are purchasing an innovative product that has been designed to easily transport and get into places that traditional sofa beds could never access.

Return Policy

We encourage all our customers to check our measurements and reach out with questions. We know our sofa beds and are happy to walk you through recommendations like size, comfort and style. Returns are no fun for anyone. We really want to ensure you get the sofa bed that is right for you and your space. If you have any questions please email us before ordering.  Do you have a preference for a firm seat or a firm back? Would you prefer something that you can curl up in? Let us know and we will help you. 

If you are unhappy with your purchase. Please email sales@thesofabedstore.com within 7 days of receiving your sofa bed to open the return. There is a $300 holdback fee for all sofa bed returns that require pickup.

Return process for deliveries that were white glove: Please ensure the sofa bed is in perfect condition. The same delivery company that delivered and assembled the sofa bed will return to disassemble and repackage the sofa bed for safe storage. Once pickup is complete and delivered back to the store in the same condition we process the refund less $300. The $300 helps us recover some of the fees to the delivery company for the delivery and return. 

Return process for deliveries made by freight: The sofa bed must be disassembled and repackaged in its original packaging. We will arrange for the return shipping by coordinating with you. When pick up is arranged, we will provide shipping documents to attach to each box for the return. Please ensure everything is packaged well for safe and protected return shipping. Once we receive the sofa bed and verify all is returned in new condition we will process the refund less $300.

There is no refund for any original shipping and delivery fees.

 

Accessories: Accessories can be returned to the Ottawa or Toronto store for a full refund. If we are still operating by appointment only, please contact us to schedule a drop off time. Your refund will be processed on the spot. Mattress Toppers must be unused and in the original packaging to return. If shipping is required to return an accessory please contact us and we'll do our best to find the best shipping rates to help you return your item.   

 

Do You Ship To USA?
